Storm Hawks Jamie Lu Plunge

This is a bit of a fanart of a fellow fanfiction writer Leenden (Jeremy The Foxx McLaughlin). Based on his fan story Storm Hawks: While My Heartstrings Gently Weep. His story introduces his character named Jamie-Lu, who is the brother of Suzy-Lu, Sky Knight of Blizzaris.

Jamie Lu is about to learn how to swim. Blizzarians aren't known for swimming due to the fact every body of water they prefer is frozen solid. A rarely done excercise for a Blizzarian, but Jamie will pull it off. To ease his initial fear of drowning in water, Starling decided to do just one big plunge in the water.

Please pardon the awkwardness of this pic. It is a top view of Piper, Jamie Lu, and Starling plunging butt first in waters of Terra Tropica. This picture was done after several tries to fix the perspective problem. The pose and view was inspired by this anime promo I saw for an anime I can't remember the name of it. It was a bit difficult to pull this off because of the style of Storm Hawks rarely had them in nothing less than their undergaments. Still Stork, Fin, and Junko pulled it off quick nicely. Also, getting Blizzarian legs to look right while not standing is difficult too.

I initially drew arm floatations on Jamie's arms, then decided it was a bit too off with the rest of the composition. Also the splashes have been simplified with little 3D effect and void of any water ripples.
