Spitz and Billy Rex Childhood Terra

This is a bit of a small fan story of Storm Hawks thought of by brother and myself. A few character expression sketches directly from watching "Fire and Ice" and I came up with this. I'm still trying to learn the Storm Hawks style.

This is a scene of Spitz and Billy's past. Here they are best friends on a Terra colony open to all creatures/families of the entire Atmos. Spitz and Billy are having fun with a toy model they built themselves. A toy model of the newly commissioned Air Skimmer III into the Terra's Sky Knight squadron.

Once a peaceful exsistance, before the assault of the Rogue Raptors and shadow rise of the Cyclonian Empire. Repton saw this Terra as an abomanation and destroys the colony and the Sky Knight squadron that protected it. Now just a forgotten Terra lost to war. Spitz and Billy's friendship will be put to the test when they meet again 10 years later... unknowingly as Blizzarian/Bogaton blood enemies.

I like the character Sptiz, so I wanted to give him an interesting fan backstory. Possibly how to explain his lisp and rather viscious temper. A definite contrast to this youngster here. Just watching the moment when Spitz first sees the frozen villige of the Blizzarians in "Fire and Ice" was interesting.
