Tears in Heaven

This is something I did awhile back. Here it depicts Alice McCoy and Dobermon. Also depicted is the images of her Grandfather and her Father. The title and fanart was inspired by the song Tears in Heaven written by Eric Clapton & Will Jennings. This fanart and how Alice's enigmatic presence in Digimon Tamers can be interpreted many different ways.

October 6 2003 Note: I have done an edit on the ocean so now it leans towards the Tamers background style instead of realism.

That's a very sweet picture. :3 I haven't watched any Tamers, I know nothing of her =( But this looks really good, I love the mood and composition that you put into it.

it looks great. been a while since I watched, so I forget what happened to her father and grandfather. are they alive or... ? just asking since thy are faded images in the picture and you called it "tears in heaven". or was it her something happened to. I think I remember dobermon dying.

Well, there are several theories that Alice, granddaughter of "Dolphin" McCoy, is deceased and her contact with the Tamers was in spiritual form. Another theory is that she is alive, living with her Grandfather aka "Dolphin", and her Father has passed away. ...or that she too has passed away (by sickness or accident) at the same time or after her Father's death. One would speculate that Dobermon is somehow the spiritual essence of her deceased Father.

Another combination of the theories would be that the Grandfather is the only surviving McCoy we see in the series. We only see him with his son in flashbacks and the only time we do see them together is in one photograph.

(shrugs) Leave it up to the creators of Digimon Tamers to baffle fans.

I loved Alice and Dobermon! I wish they were in Tamers more.
