Storm Hawks - Wake Up

Original Title: Storm Hawks - Piper, Wake Up!

WARNING: Suggestion of torture. Nothing Explicit.

This is a bit of a fanart for a fellow fanfiction writer Leenden (Jeremy The Foxx McLaughlin). Based on his spin off fan story Storm Hawks with his character Jamie Lu and the Phiarian Squadron of Terra Blue flame.

Here Jamie Lu searches an underground cavern with Kai Seers for Piper. Upon releasing Piper from a body prison does Jamie Lu discover that Piper has been tortured and is unresponsive to him. Kai can only look on in horror as Jamie breaks.

This pic was inspired after watching my brother play Gears of War 2 for the XBox360, in which a shocking revelation is revealed as one of the characters (Dom) discovers his wife (Maria) has been tortured to the point beyond recovery. As his partner (Marcus Fenix) can only do so much to comfort Dom, as Dom will do the ultimate duty and euthanize his wife. Very heart wrenching scene, I never really expected to see. No rescue-the-princess-happy-ending here. From then on, I've noticed my brother continue playing the game with anger. Targeting the heads shots all the way.

Please forgive me for what I have done to Piper. I will not elaborate on "who" did this to Piper. I was toying with the idea of Murck Raider's or even worse, not necessarily the Cyclonians either. To keep your mind at ease, Jamie Lu does not euthanize Piper. I also managed to sneak watch a Storm Hawks episode called "Five Days" in which Piper steals a special crystal that can repair anything, mechanical and living, given a certain time. Jamie Lu would later know what to do.

However, revenge is burning within Jamie Lu as he says calmly to Kai, "I'm gonna kill them all."

I kept the pic less bloody. I removed blood spatters from Kai's weapon and armor. Also I removed more detailed scars from Piper's back. I wasn't sure what kind of flight armor Kai should wear so I came up with this quickly with an oversized blade weapon with shark blades. I liked the idea of Kai with a band on his head like Marcus Fenix. It has the Phiarian race symbol on it. It was a gift from Blue Flames Tactician Beih-Lon because Kai did not cut his hair to regulations. So she gave it to him to best keep his hair in place during flights. Kai is a bit clueless to Beih-Lon's fondness of him.
