This is my contest entry for the contest. After seen so much wonderful entries, I decided to join in on the fun. This is based on Leiji Matsumoto's Space Pirate Captain Harlock. My Uncle loved this series when he was young and now I'm into it too. The poses and drawing styles are all from the 1978 TV series. I just love the hair over the one eye especially how BB turned out as Tadashi.

It was difficult to decide which Titan would be Kei, Mimay, and Queen Emeraldas. I then figured Starfire will be perfect as the alien Mimay; Terra as Kei; and Raven (always sporting in a cloak) as Queen Emaraldas. Another difficulty was choosing the style of the Arcadia. The first TV series' Arcadia asa blue ship. The later series and OVA's the Arcadia was a longer greenish ship with the Jolly Rodger on the front. I then decided on the less phallic looking one, but after awhile it still looked phallic anyways. :D

11/23/2005 IMAGE EDIT: I finally saw this on a better monitor and the colors were all wrong. I adjusted most of the colors. Finally it looks better now.

Hmm, I've never heard of this, but the picture looks awesome. ^^ I like Beast Boy and Raven the best! The way the stars and such turn out to be Raven's cloak is really cool.

(Ooo, rapier pistols… I think I'll check out Harlock to cure my dwindling sci-fi anime quota for next year. ^~)

Terrific compositional remake. And, um, bonus points for not giving them the full-on Matsumoto-styled faces. ^^; ^^;

XD OMi god jodi!! :hug: This is GREAT!! lol! You did a GREAT job putting them into the character outfits of Space Pirate Captain Harlock. ^__^ Although I have never actually seen it myself, I used ta get anime catalouges and there wouldn't be one page without one of these people on it. This is just so impressive! You kept the characters in the real Teen Titain style, but then it's SO obvious were you mixed in the old school anime. Like BB's hair! XD He's my fav here, just so adoreable. :heart: Raven looks JUST great! I Know I KNOW who she's supposed to be! I do!! I'm just all blank here. >.<!! But regardless of my memory loss, this is just a brilliant picture. I love how meek Terra looks as well. And you got the uniforms down pat! And the BG? The stars are beautiful. :highfive: It's lovely jodi.
