Meld R and Fixit - Farewell

Description

This is a scene of Meld R's past. Plotwise, it is still sketchy of course.

Because of a strange rust anomally within himself, Fixit has ressurected his daugter ahead of time fearing the rust will kill her. For many years her body was sustained in a stasis tube, while her other organs and brain was part of Fixit's own organs (reference to Sum of His Parts) The experiment was success and her daughter was half near full completion. Her first stage of reconstruction was cybernetic, but this was far from the final stage which was being pure human. The rust anomally has somehow quickened and has begun to eat away at Fixit. Meld R awakens to see this dying being before her not knowing it was once her real father. With his life ticking away, Fixit talks to Meld R... "Melder... Seek the Titans... Vic Stone... Friendship... Learn your power... Do not let Kardiak within... overtake you..." Fixit holds Meld R's hand to complete a mind transfer but only a few bits of memory was given to Meld R.

Fixit dies and Meld R is overcome by sadness. As she moves her right hand away from Fixit's right arm, she notices Fixit's arm rust and turn to dust in mere seconds. Guilt fills her as she feels she was responsible for this being's (Fixit) death. She leaves the Fixit Shop as the entire underground facility starts to rust and collapse. Without any knowledge of who she is, the name of being she believed to have killed, her family name, or her potential, she carries out the dying wishes of Fixit. From out of the junk yard she ventures in Jump City.

I remember being wowed by this years ago.  I guess I wasn't used to commenting. I really like Meld-R's story and I love this picture!
