Series crossover

This is what happens when I ask my brother "again" to help me getting me out of my artist block. Yes, another Alvin and the Chipmunks crossover with something. This time with Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA.

Okay... I know my Japanese Katakana is rusty, but I am sure I spelled ALVIN correctly!

Again, some many arguments on who will be cast as who. We did agree on one. For one, Alvin will in essence play two roles as Kaneda Shotaro and also as a different character in perhaps his Ruby-Spears/DIC form as AKIRA aka ALVIN (subject # 28). Casting one of the other Chipmunks as Tetsuo was the hardest. I always wanted a Theodore angst story, but my brother tapped into my Alvon fan and suggested Simon be Tetsuo Shima. Initially the toss up was with Takashi (subject # 26) left Theodore. I still think Theodore as Tetsuo would have been as great as well as seeing him tormented of being the youngest from his childhood takes a toll as he gains esper powers as a highschooler. Casting Kei is still being discussed with either Jeanette or Charlene. As I continue the series, I do hope our choice for casting feels like the right one.

I will be using more of the CGI Chipmunk character designs for this one. So they will have FIVE digits on their hands and feet.
